Text: (Isaiah 40:31) - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, walk and not faint.
The eagle is a bird that loves freedom. She has intimacy with heights. Do not know how to live in captivity. Can not live in cages. Not survives caged in zoos. She dies, but remains captive. She does not accept his life for another condition that is not freedom.
(Galatians 5:1) - Stand firm, then, in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and not Repay put yourselves under the yoke of bondage.
(John 8:36) - If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
One. The Christian can not live in fear of the devil captive:
- There are Christians who fail to delight in heavenly truths, they deprive themselves of the delights of the banquet of God because they live grappling with a phobia that robs them of all joy in life seated with Christ in heavenly places;
- There are churches that speak more to him than Jesus himself;
- People who attribute all the problems to him.
Below are some verses that frees us from this fear:
(II Timothy 1:7) - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
(James 4:7) - Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.
(Matthew 28:18) - And he came to Jesus spake unto them, saying, Is it me given all power in heaven and on earth.
(Revelation 1:17) - And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead and he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not: I am the first and the last;
(Revelation 1:18) - And that liveth, and was dead, and behold I am alive forevermore. And I have the keys of hell and of death.
(I John 3:8) - He that committeth sin is of the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
(Colossians 2:14) - Blotting out the handwriting that was against us in their ordinances, which somehow was against us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to the cross. (Colossians 2:15) - And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a public and triumphing over them in it.
(Luke 9:1) - And calling his twelve disciples, he gave them virtue and power over all demons, to heal diseases.
(Mark 16:17) - And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils, speak with new tongues;
(Romans 16:20) - And the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen
2nd. The Christian can not live captive of sin:
(Hebrews 12:4) - have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Rather die than be captive of sin: Daniel (see Daniel chapter 6);
Prefer to go campfire sin: (read Daniel chapter 3)
Prefer to be arrested than sinning: Joseph in Egypt;
Prefer to be stoned: (Acts 7:59) - And they stoned Stephen calling upon saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
"The true Christian can not live with mask as Judas"
(I John 2:6) - He that saith he is in him must walk as Jesus did.
(I John 3:9) - Whosoever is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him, and he can not sin, because he is born of God.
(Psalms 1:1) - Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of mockers.
There are people who are slaves of drink, drugs, homosexuality, lying, etc and forget what is written in the Bible (I Corinthians 6:8) - Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
(I Corinthians 6:9) - Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,
(I Corinthians 6:10) - Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
"It is shocking to see how many people live who call themselves Christian and do not appear any different than those who do not know God:
"Other people do the same practices that condemn. Their lips are full of lust. Their hands full of iniquity. Their garments contaminated by sensuality. Their feet are swift to the paths of sin. Attend churches, but are captive and are in the cages opponent. "
3rd. The Christian can not live captive omission
There are Christians who are secret agents of Jesus. His life is so insipid and meaningless as no one notices that they are Jesus, if they are. They live quiet when it comes to talking about Jesus. They are unafraid to talk football, fashion, film, novels, etc.. To speak of Jesus, fear, shame, etc.. (Luke 9:26) - For whoever of me and of my words be ashamed of, it is the Son of man be ashamed, when he comes in his glory, and the Father and of the holy angels. (Matthew 10:33) - But whosoever shall deny me before men, I also will deny before my Father which is in heaven.
(Isaiah 61:1) - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to prisoners; (II Corinthians 3:17) - Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
